A talented painter and designer uniting unconventional shapes and forms. How would you describe your art? (big question, I know!) I would say a mix of all the things I’ve learned/continue to learn. Lately, I’ve been focused on trying to create environments (2 or 3D spaces), using characters and shapes as its subjects. I really like being able to experiment with new materials and methods and finding ways to translate my voice throughout all the work to keep it cohesive, whether it’s painting, sculptural work, furniture design, etc. How does your art allow you to express yourself? It gives me the space to play and work through my ideas. Where do you find inspiration? It changes a lot, usually depending on what I’m currently interested in at that point in my life. At the moment I’m finding a lot of inspiration coming from plastic and textile waste, and just the idea of being wasteful in general. Just before this, it was post-modern furniture design. |
What is your go-to shoe? Also depends a lot, I really appreciate a lot of sneakers out there but trying to just really wear out whatever ones I currently own. At the moment I’m mainly wearing the white Air Jordan 1 Low Slip and the Air Force 1 Ultraforce Mid, both super easy and comfy.
