CRUSHING IT AT WORK WITH COMFYCUSH
As you probably already know, Vans created an all-new innovative technology called ComfyCush that’s all about comfort.

Vans has just what you need for those sore feet after a long day’s work with its ComfyCush technology.
It’s actually a co-molded construction of foam and rubber, and an improved tongue stabilization and arch support, meaning you’ll never have to make a tradeoff between comfort and style again. Great, right? Especially at work! We asked six influencers to let us know how much of a difference ComfyCush makes in their day-to-day jobs, especially since they’re on their feet running around all-day. Check out what they had to say!

What is your job? Comedians
Can you tell us what drew you to that field and how this shoe is ideal for your job? Ève: I’ve always loved to make people laugh and I’ve always been afraid of having calluses. So doing stand-up for an hour and a half with good shoes on is pretty much the basis of everything! M-L: I’ve always wanted to make people laugh, so I was drawn to this job very naturally. I’ve always been fascinated by everything related to humour and comedy. Having nice shoes is very practical for red carpets and to make my entourage jealous!
Tell us about a funny situation that happened at work. Ève: One audience member once got up on stage to drink out of our wine glasses to see if it was in fact real wine. She winced! M-L: I once forgot to take off my winter boots before going on stage. So I did the whole show wearing ugly big boots. |

What is your job? I’m an illustrator and tattoo artist. I studied visual arts and graphic design, and I’ve been freelancing in the creative field since I can’t remember and working as a tattoo artist for three years. I love to draw; it’s a true passion.
Can you tell us what drew you to that field and how this shoe is ideal for your job? It’s incredible to see my illustrations travel and come to life outside of my drawing board. My job is pretty harsh for the back and neck so it’s important for me to have a good pair of shoes to keep a good posture and to be comfortable. The new CumfyCush are super light, they’re like wearing slippers!
Tell us about a funny situation that happened at work. That one time I was tattooing a girl that was super nervous because she often experienced pressure drop. I was reassuring her the best I could telling her that everything was going to be okay. We finally started her tattoo and then, BAM, the person in front of us getting a tattoo suffered a vagal shock and violently lost consciousness, falling off the table. My client was mortified, but once you start a tattoo, you have to finish Let’s just say that it was a very long session! |

What is your job? Colourist
Can you tell us what drew you to that field and how this shoe is ideal for your job? I’ve always been obsessed with hair in general, but never thought I could make a career out of it! One day I woke up wondering if that could be possible and my mom and my best friend ended up convincing me that it would be perfect for me. The Comfycush are simply WONDERFUL!! I often work long hours at the salon, between 10 and 12 hours standing up without sitting down really. So it’s essential that I wear shoes with a good sole and good support to help me serve my customers without feeling in pain.
Tell us about a funny situation that happened at work. When I first started working in hairstyling, I was hired as an assistant in a prestigious salon and my boss asked me to blow-dry a customer’s hair because we were short staff. I had barely started and she was already sighing and rushing me She then stopped me, took my blow dryer, got up and threw it while telling me to go back to school!! |

What is your job? Barber, Owner at Wilde Cutting Club
Can you tell us what drew you to that field and how this shoe is ideal for your job? People often don’t realize it, but being a barber is extremely physical. We’re on our feet all day, often in uncomfortable positions. Wearing shoes with a good sole is not only more comfortable, but it is also necessary for our too often neglected backs!
Tell us about a funny situation that happened at work. I work with a lot of guys and we’re always playing tricks on each other, so there’s a lot of crazy things going on. This one time, I got to the barber shop an hour before the opening and moved one of the barber’s workstation to the bathroom. I carefully displayed the chair and all of his barber equipment in front of the bathroom sink, just like a real workstation. I told him that we were unfortunately lacking space so he would have to cut hair in the bathroom from now on. Classic prank! |

What is your job? I am a content creator/ men’s blogger. I feature pictures and videos, as well as write and create content online for my men’s fashion and lifestyle blog. I’m usually hard at work behind my desk, brainstorming new blog concepts, or designing my latest Photoshop piece. I also keep busy doing photoshoots for my Instagram and blog.
Can you tell us what drew you to that field and how this shoe is ideal for your job? I’ve always been creative, and since the early days on the Internet I’ve had an interest in social media. Instagram is a great platform for me to express my creativity in the best ways. I’ve been able to collaborate with brands, other creators, and people all over the world. I’m a big fan of Vans shoes! I wore Vans every single day in High School, mainly for their style and how versatile the shoe is, but also for its comfort. When I’m out running errands or shooting all day, Vans are a great go-to because they’re so comfortable and they pair great with a bunch of different outfits. The black and white original is such a classic! You can’t go wrong with that style.
Tell us about a funny situation that happened at work. Whenever my friend Olivia Hopkins and I shoot together, it’s always a great time because we can always find something to laugh about. Once we were shooting outside together on the HOTTEST DAY of summer. I had to bring a fan outside and every time we took a break from shooting, we would RUSH to the fan to cool off. Thinking back, it always makes me laugh. |
