If you haven't heard of Brother Merle yet, it's time to get acquainted with the funky Montreal-based artist. Known for his unique blend of illustration and animation, Brother Merle excels at mixing skate culture with humorous, offbeat scenarios. His work is always unexpected, and it was equally surprising when he traded his usual kicks for Birkenstock sandals, creating the perfect blend of comfort and sport.

We get it, it sounds pretty out there, skateboarding in sandals? But that's the magic of this collaboration. It's when you blend two things that seem totally mismatched that you create something truly awesome, like this collab. It's as unexpected as it is legendary, and we're absolutely here for it!

To celebrate the collaboration, we threw an event last Thursday at our Mont-Royal store. Brother Merle’s illustrations took center stage, transforming the entire shop into a vibrant gallery. Guests had the chance to admire the artwork while grooving to the beats of DJ Esther Coté, and enjoyed refreshing beers from Messorem. The highlight? Customizing their Birkenstock sandals with the artist's unique designs at our exclusive engraving station. Cool, right?
